Alabama Learning Exchange

The Alabama Learning Exchange (ALEX) is a website that can be used by anyone in the field of education. It is brought to you by the Alabama Department of Education. It is very useful and helpful for teachers in the classroom. It’s like a one-stop resource for educators. They can find whatever they need there. ALEX allows teachers make lesson plans and research other posted lesson plans. To design your own lesson plans you have to create an account, but it’s free. You can also search the course of study by grade level and find new ideas for the age group you teach.
I am actually already using ALEX to create and find ideas for lesson plans. One of my classes here at South is requiring me to create my own lesson plan. It’s really helpful because you can find worksheets to use in your classroom. You can also find questions that can be used on tests. The material and course of study for each grade level is listed. This allows you to see what your students have to learn.
